FUNDING FOR CLUBS

If you are involved in a club in Conwy and are looking for funds to develop the club further, or if you are thinking of setting up a new club, then check out this section for grants that will assist you.

BE ACTIVE WALES FUND

Up to £50,000 of National Lottery funding for equipment and coaching courses. For not-for-profit sports clubs or community groups in Wales.

Who can apply

Not-for-profit sports clubs and community groups can apply.

To apply, your project must:

help more people take part in sport
take place in Wales and be mainly for people who live in Wales
not have started yet
not include anything you’ve already bought

Depending on the sport or the type of request, the organisation applying for funding may need to be affiliated to their sport’s National Governing Body (NGB).

Projects and funding

Examples of projects include:

equipment to help more people take part in sport
coaching courses that upskill coaches and volunteers
entry-level training courses, such as first aid or officiating
hiring venues for new teams
pitch improvement projects

You must contribute at least 10% of the total project cost. In general, for awards of:

£300 to £25,000, we will fund up to 90% of the project costs
£25,001 to £50,000, we will fund up to 80% of the project costs

CONWY VOLUNTARY SERVICES COUNCIL

About

Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) is the umbrella body set up to develop and promote voluntary and community action in the County of Conwy. It sits with the national body of Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) and is part of Third Sector Support Wales (TSSW).

CVSC aims to support voluntary and community action in the County Borough of Conwy. In particular the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness.

CVSC brings together representatives of the voluntary and statutory sectors to work in partnership for the good of the residents of the County.

Objectives

To support the development of new projects which enhance community and voluntary action. To be an effective conduit between public, private and third sector agencies in Conwy.

Representation

CVSC represents the Third Sector in meetings such as the Public Services Board, the Third Sector Partnership Committee, the Conwy Armed Forces Covenant and North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Compact.

Membership

CVSC is a membership organisation and can support the Third Sector in many different ways.
