Volunteering in Sport in Conwy

Volunteering in Sport - The Facts!

Volunteers are the life blood of Welsh sport, with over 3.8% of the adult population volunteering in sport, giving an average of 2.5 hours per week. This represents over 90,000 adults, equating to some £86,000,000 contribution to the economy in labour costs alone. Volunteers in sport across the UK represent 26.2% of the overall volunteer sector; the largest recorded proportion of any group. Quite simply, without volunteers there would be no sport in its current form.
